About Us

Training and Continuing Education

At ServiceMaster Restoration Services, we know that disaster restoration is an industry that requires specialty training to comply with industry standards. As experts in the industry, we believe that knowledge and education is important and that everyone should have general knowledge about disaster restoration and preparedness.

We offer continuing education classes that provide credit to insurance agents through the Department of Insurance (DOI) and to community managers through the California Association of Community Managers (CACM). We cover a wide range of curriculum related to our industry including:

  • Ethics (4 credits)
  • Fire and Smoke Damage Mitigation (2 credits)
  • Mold Damage Mitigation (3 credits)
  • Subrogation (3 credits)
  • Water Damage Mitigation (2 credits)

We can provide noncredited classes of reduced length for your management, claims, or office staff. We can also tailor curriculum for your business. Existing classes include:

  • Asbestos, Lead, and Sewage Damage Mitigation
  • Contents Cleaning, Packing, and Storage
  • Disaster Preparedness
  • Fire and Smoke Damage Mitigation
  • Mold Damage Mitigation
  • Restoration Billing 101 (for claims representatives and management)
  • Subrogation
  • Water Damage Mitigation

Since we offer predisaster planning and prioritized catastrophe response, we encourage insurance agents to use predisaster planning with their clients as a free "value-add" for their clients. In fact, we’ll train their clients on-site free of charge.

Our classes encourage hands-on activities and participation. We provide food in most situations. Please call to learn more about our education opportunities.
