Over 24 years ago John and Pam Sappingfield started their franchise, ServiceMaster Restoration Services, after a successful career in hotel management and maintenance. After years of success in the janitorial area, they decided to pioneer the disaster restoration industry in its early years.
After a long career in hospital management, Charles Hoage came on board in 2002 to manage operations and is now vice president. He successfully expanded the business into the East Bay. Shawna Leon, John and Pam's daughter, later joined the company.
In 2007 we expanded to the Sacramento area, then opened the Janitorial and Business Service Division as well as the Content Cleaning/Pack-Out facility, both in Hayward. In 2009 we expanded to the North Bay. In 2010 the company became employee-owned.
